Reject Rejection

The next time you get a rejection letter from a hoped-for employer or publisher, just send them the following:

Dear [name of the person who signed the rejection letter],
Thank you for your letter of [date of the rejection letter]. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me employment with your firm.
This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals. Despite [name of the co or agency that sent you this letter]'s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting [applicants], I find that your rejection does not meet with my needs at this time.
Therefore, I will initiate employment with your firm immediately following [graduation/job change, etc. -- get creative here]. I look forward to working with you.
Best of luck in rejecting future candidates.
Sincerely,
[your name]

A book and it's cover

She’s emo? You’d cut too, if you’ve been through what she has. She’s anorexic? You’d be too, if everyone called you fat everyday. She’s a whore? She made one mistake that cost her reputation. She’s a showoff? Her parents don't care, & she’s never heard of praise. She’s loud? She’s invisible at home, & she wants to be heard. She’s quiet? She’s afraid to speak, because she’s scared to get made fun of & say the wrong things. She’s fat? She binges, because she's tired of being there for everyone & never getting it back in return. She’s a geek? She wants to get into college, so she can support her future family. She doesn’t wear the shortest shorts? She's too worried people will judge her. She’s ugly? Tell me, what is the definition of beauty? Who are you to judge them? You know their name, not their story.

Lie To Me.

This is my current obsession.  I LOVE "Lie To Me".  It focuses on Cal Lightman, who can read micro-expressions to be able to see if someone is lying or telling the truth.  I do not watch a lot of crime shows, this show and "Criminal Minds".  So if you value my opinion, I would watch this show, because, trust me, this is worth watching.  You can watch it on Netflix.  LOVE, Love, love.  Watch.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is an annual holiday observed on October 31, which commonly includes activities such as trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, carving pumpkins, bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted houses, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. My personal favorite is the costume parties. I usually have a candy potluck with scary movies and just general Halloween type adventures. I am one of the many believers of the idea that just because you get older doesn't mean you outgrow Halloween. Trick-or-Treat to all my readers.

9-11-2001

On Tuesday Morning, September 11th, 2001, there was a horrendous terrorist attack on America which can only be described as an act of war. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center's Twin Towers in New York City, another into the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and a fourth in Pennsylvania.  American Airlines Flight 11, UNITED Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, and UNITED Airlines Flight 93 were hijacked by terrorists and flown into symbols of America in what most compare to Kamikaze tactics.  This caused the World Trade Center's Twin Towers to collapse and crushed a portion of the Pentagon. It is believed that the plane that went down in Pennsylvania was headed for the White House.

Somewhere exciting

Someday I want to live somewhere exciting.  Maybe New York, with all the art and museums.  The architecture, the paintings, the Statue of Liberty and the poor homeless people feeding pigeons.  Or maybe Paris, though I am sure they also have pigeons and homeless people.  But, they have different museums and art and towers.  Or maybe I'll just stay here in Michigan in a small town by Lake Michigan where there never seems to be anything to do.

Boring Blog

I am currently 100% convinced anything I write in this blog must be the most boring thing in the entire universe.  I have been writing everyday for about 3 weeks now and no comments plus only two followers.  I must really fail at this blog thing.  Please, if you can stay awake for one moment to help me, comment with a suggestion.

Dance Party

I wish I could throw random dance parties with my hip parents. Well, then again, I wish I had hip parents. Well...actually, I wish my dad had real hips. Wow, I'm HILARIOUS! I'll be here all year...tip your waitresses, waiters and your local hipsters with a hedgehog on a leash (yes, they make hedgehog leashes).

An Email I got about safety

Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one's life.
In daylight hours, refresh yourself
of these things to do in an emergency situation...
This is for you, and for you to share with your wife,
your children, & everyone you know.
After reading these 9 crucial tips,
forward them to someone you care about.
It never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in.

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point
on your body.
If you are close enough to use it, do!
2.. Learned this from a tourist guide.
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse,
DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you....
Chances are that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole
and start waving like crazy..
The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.
This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars
after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit
(doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc.
DON'T DO THIS!)
The predator will be watching you, and this
is the perfect opportunity for him to get in
on the passenger side, put a gun to your head,
and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR ,
LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE..

If someone is in the car
with a gun to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
Repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead gun the engine and
speed into anything, wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat
they will get the worst of it.
As soon as the car crashes
bail out and run.
It is better than having them find your body
in a remote location.
5. A few notes about getting
into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat.
B.) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans while the women
are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car
parked on the driver's side of your vehicle,
and the passenger side.. If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back
into the mall, or work, and get a
guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator
instead of the stairs.
Stairwells are horrible places to be alone
and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)
7. If the predator has a gun
and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target)
4 in 100 times; and even then,
it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!
8. As women, we are always trying
to be sympathetic:
STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,
well educated man, who ALWAYS played
on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often
asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle,
which is when he abducted
his next victim.
9. Another Safety Point:
Someone just told me that her friend heard
a crying baby on her porch the night before last,
and she called the police because it was late
and she thought it was weird.. The police told her
'Whatever you do, DO NOT
open the door..'
The lady then said that it sounded like the baby
had crawled near a window, and she was worried
that it would crawl to the street and get run over.
The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way,
whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.'
He told her that they think a serial killer
has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax
women out of their homes thinking that someone
dropped off a baby.. He said they have not verified it,
but have had several calls by women saying that
they hear baby cries outside their doors
when they're home alone at night.

10. Water scam!
If you wake up in the middle
of the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is a
burst pipe, DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your
outside taps full blast so that you will go out to investigate and
then attack.

Happy 5 months baby

She woke from a dream
Her head was on fire
Why was he so nervous
He took her to the park
She crossed her arms and
Lowered her eye lids
Someday somebody's gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to
Once in your life
Maybe tonight
I've got a question for you

She'd had no idea
Started to cry
She said in a good way
He took her by the hand
Walked her back home
They took the long way

Someday somebody's gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to
Once in your life
Maybe tonight
I've got a question for you

I am from...

I am from 1745 Anthony Drive,
The third house on the right,
A black lab in the back and
a rotting pumpkin on the porch

I am from rainy running days,
7 o’clock practice meaning both am & pm,
27:08 being the most annoying number ever
And a single mile being the warm up
I am from Sally Stories at the Cabin,
Crinkling leaves that hide us kids,
Bonfires taller than me and
Acoustic guitars causing sleepiness

I am from my parents disliking anything not “normal”,
Being best friends with a girl who will be my best man,
Ignoring those who think I am different and
Finding out who I really am

I am from Great-Grandma Tut’s cookies,
Wild turkey my Uncle hunted,
Grandma’s potatoes, my cranberry jello
And a family that tries to accept.

I am from Church on Sunday,
A sip of my dad’s beer,
Apples to Apples with the cousins,
And truth or dare with my friends

I am from 5 tattoos and counting,
Being me even when it’s hard,
Laughing at myself when I trip
And taking it a day at a time
That is where I am from

BCYF

Berrien County youth fair. Started yesterday, August 15th and ends August 20th. I have always loved a good fair but this has always been my favorite. So much larger than any other I've been to and it is so much more enjoyable too. I go almost every year and every year I enjoy it more. The sweet smell of elephant ears and cotton candy. The twirling rides and the pretty lights. I loved it this year more than last. Why, I don't know, but I did. Maybe it was because I went with someone I love. Maybe it was because I went with only him and not a large group like usual. Maybe it was because my parents weren't far behind like usual. Who knows. Hope you attended and enjoyed it as much as I.

Where is Waldo

So I have this "Where's Waldo" obsession. So much so that I have a tattoo of him on my chest. I love looking through his books and dressing up as "Wanda", having my friends dress up as Waldo and the Wizard and dress up my dog was the waldo dog. I think my obsession stems from being shy and feeling lost myself. I will never lose my love for him and his stripes. I will always be his number one fan and will take down anyone who will compete with me and my Waldo love.
